The adobe of Arabism,

A hallowed sanctuary;

The seat of the stars,

An inviolable preserve.

Syria's plains are

Towers in the heights,

Resembling the sky

Above the clouds.

A land resplendent

With brilliant suns,

Becoming another sky,

Or almost a sky.
